Purchased on eBay in July 2009 for $2.47 with free shipping from a seller in Malaysia. When it arrived registered mail, I wondered how the seller could send it registered mail for such a low price. The postage on the envelope was 3.20 Malaysian Ringgit which converted to $0.90696 US Dollar. To send it back registered would cost me $13.46 a near 1500% increase. Based on postal rates, the sellers 5.51332 Malaysian Ringgit profit after postage, has a much larger equivalent postal purchasing power there :)

In July 2010 I purchased a second identical coin for about $10 including shipping. Checking the English Heritage online store, this coin including shipping to the USA worked out to be about $30 after converting pounds to dollars. This is a typical example of the wild range of pricing to be found on the internet.

This item has traveled a lot of miles (England - Malaysia - Central USA)and the package shows it, but the coin still remains untouched.
